Love the fascinate!

I love the fascinate! It just kept getting really really hot when it was charging so they sent me another fascinate kept my old battery. Same thing happend so before i could call them they called me saying that some phones where causeing the batt. To over heat....so they went to replace the battery and said they didnt have any at the warehouse. Sooo they sent me the incredible 2.....

I have had the Incredible 2 for about 2 weeks now and I love it. I originally had a Fascinate but had to switch when the software upgrade prevented it from working with my Ford Sync system. The Fascinate was "good enough" but did some things that irritated me.

The Incredible 2 is extremely fast to start when you power it on. The battery life is better than the Fascinate even though it has a smaller battery. The browser starts faster and it access websites quicker than the Fascinate.

Of course the main reason (I hope) that you get a phone is for the call quality. That is very good and I am able to hold a 3G link in more marginal areas than with the Fascinate. I don't think you would be disappointed with the Inc 2.

Droid X2 baby, Droid X2

:fixed:

Also, the Incredible 2 is not much smaller than the DX2 and is larger than the original Incredible due to the larger screen:
Incredible 2 - 4.75 x 2.52 x 0.48
Droid X2 - 5.02 x 2.58 x 0.39
Original Incredible - 4.63 x 2.30 x 0.47

I wonder if the Incredible 2 is as plagued by sucky battery life as the original...

I never ran a timer on my Fascinate but it does seem like the Inc 2 lasts a bit longer on the charge. That might be because it also locks into a cell tower more often while I am work too. On the weekend I can leave it on my dresser for two days and it will still have a good charge on it where the Fascinate would be either dead or almost.

I switched to the Incredible 2, from the Incredible, about a month ago. My Incredible crapped out. It is an awesome phone. It has a 4" SLCD Screen with front facing camera. It has basically the same internals as the Incredible except for the GPU. This means faster and smoother UI response times than the original. Skype 2.0 offers video calling to other phones and computers, as long as you have recieved the 2.3.3 Gingerbread update. It is slightly thinner than the original and has nice rounded corners. The 4" screen is definitely the sweet spot for screen sizes. The battery life is around double that of the original Incredible. The only complaint I have is that the speaker is a bit tinny but a good pair of headphones can rectify that. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who asked.

I like my 4.3" screen and wouldn't mind a 4.5" screen...especially if they can shrink the bezel.
