Congress moves to prevent liability lawsuits agains tfast food.

So I wonder if the critics of this bill would be happy if fast food places like McDonalds and BK rang a bell and publically refused to sell to fat people.

DIN DING DING. Madam, I am sorry but the scale we have hidden in the floor directly under you indicates that for your height you are 64lbs overweight. Drop the cheeseburger and back away form the counter. Might we reccomend a salad or some McCarrot sticks?

Wow, these guys are wack jobs.
Instead of dishing out special legislative favors to the food industry, a better way of promoting personal responsibility would be to put nutrition information on menus and menu boards
Isn't that already availble at fast food joints?

"You cannot litigate personal choices and lifestyles," said Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich.

Ah very interesting, is smoking not a personal choice?

smoking in your home certainly is, but smoking in public is proven to have adverse effects onthe health of those around you. the same cannot be said of eating junk food. (that said, I think it sucks that you can't smoke in bars in some states anymore.)
