Yep. Preheat oven to 450-500 pop roast in. Lower temp to 325 and cook for 20 min a pound. Take it out and let it rest.

I prefer my prime rib well done so I cook it on a higher heat and cook it longer.

I'm trying to think of something to cook for Christmas dinner and was thinking about trying a prime rib. I've never cooked one before so I was looking a different recipes and ran across this. Is it worth the time?

I think dry aging gives the meat a slightly sour taste, so far though I seem to be the only one who thinks it.
