Dry Cleaner in Lothian/Waysons/Dunkirk Area

I just moved to Lothian, and live in a development off of Wrighton Road, and is not far from Rt. 4. The closest exit is Plummers Lane, and Dunkirk is approximately five miles south. Can anyone recommend a dry cleaner within the Lothian, Waysons Corner, or Dunkirk areas that do good work and don't charge an arm and a leg? Where I moved from, there was a Zips Dry Cleaners. They weren't the best, quality wise, but were convenient. Also, every garment was $1.99 for dry cleaning and if dropped off by 9 a.m., they were ready by 5 p.m. the same day. I don't have to have that same day service, but I also don't want to pay three dollars or more for dry cleaning, or get clothes back that still have to be ironed. Thanks.

Okay, had my daughter go to Town Center Cleaners in Dunkirk. Had I known what their prices were, I would have had her go elsewhere. We were charged $20 for four mens' SHORTS, and $15 for three mens' dress shirts. Guess I was spoiled by the $1.99 per item at Zips. Does anyone else within the area have better prices? I really do want to support the small businesses, but don't want to pay twice or three times as much for something. And really, is the finished product going to be that much better?

Picked up my clothes today and wanted to follow up on this, to let everyone know what happened. I thought perhaps that polo shirts that cost $5 each to dry clean would come back well, well pressed and immaculate. Sadly, they came with the same creases that I see when I pay my $1.99 at Zips. I want to support the small businesses, but I can't see paying $3 more per article to clean, when the quality isn't measurably better. I say, either provide a much better service, or lower your prices. I'm getting the same quality for $1.99 per item, PLUS I can pick it up the same day if I drop it off by 9 a.m.

Check with Roger, he lives in Lothian, went to PSHS class of 71. He may have a recommendation.

I know who you're talking about (one of the original Pepper Pipers). He's a great guy and has already welcomed me to the community. As for the laundry/dry cleaner, since a Zips is on my way to work, I'll just stop by there. Can't beat $1.99 per item, and the in by 9, out by 5 regular service!

I knew that you knew him and figured if there was a dry cleaner in the area he would know about it.

I have the Potomac 1970 yearbook (and all Potomac yearbooks from 1968-1977). What was your name (you can PM me if you wish)?
