after checking I have to go with either Metrocast or the pricey Satellite internet service. I don't understand how a company (Verizon) can provide service to some parts of a city (Hollywood), and yet not include the other half? and it doesn't even seem to be half and half, more of a randon area here and there...oh well.Hello Metrocast...

Daddyo... the reason you probably cant DSL and others can is teh relatively short distance you have to be from the CO (18,000 ft MAX). And the further you are from the CO the less speed you will get. Thats the bad thing with DSL.

Depending on where you live, you may get good service with Metrocrap. As long as you dont live by Hermanville road and south (and Im hearing folks in Leonardtown are having issues also..but dont know where) you should be fine.

If you do go with Sat. service, your right it is VERY expensive. And if you or anyone in your family play online games...forget it! 600+ ms ping times due to the 24,000+ miles the signal has to travel (and thats ONE WAY...).

I suggest you stick with cable and PRAY you arent in one of the areas affected. ITs now been 3 MONTHS of crap speeds for some of us.....
