I love the narrative that we need the illegals to pick the crops. Who TF has been picking them up until now? I spent a lot of time in Cal around the farms and never saw crops "rotting in the field". Just another leftist lie.

These days I can’t imagine that too many crops actually need pickers.

You’d be wrong, most vegetables are still picked by hand because it’s just cheaper. It’s mostly done by illegals because the pay is too low to interest most Americans. You can see it in real life over on the eastern shore with the watermelon harvest, the pay is $10 per triwall box which holds about 100 melons. One of the drawbacks that shows up on the news pretty often is E. Coli contamination this is caused by someone crapping in the field.
