I don't see a pitch in the roof. It's more like the way the lighting was when the picture was taken. I am not sure about the poop vs. rawhide bone thing, though.

i'm not saying table or doghouse, but it DOES NOT have a pitched roof. If you follow the line made by the legs on the left side of the pic back, you will see the line from the right egde of the red top intersects it. this indicates a 1 point perspective (remember art class?)
also, it appears that the front edge of the red section is straight, not the inverted V you would expect from a pitched roof.

I did read your first line. That was in there for the people who said it was a table.
