Dunkin Donuts

For the love of God....don't you people take into consideration that this is a NEW business and most of the employees that are working there have never worked for Dunkin Donuts before? First off, DD is not officially open until tommorrow. Second off, do you not understand that the business owners have NO idea how much inventory they need for a particular location. This process takes approx 6- 8 weeks before they will even begin to know how many dozen of donuts, hot choc, croissant, bagels to even order or make for the demand of this county. Shame on all of you idiots out there who don't take this into consideration. Another thing is that someone mentioned that the donuts aren't fresh....Get a life other than bad mouthing good people who are trying to make this county better by supplying us with this convenience. FYI!!!The donuts are made in Acoceek @1 a.m. and brought down here and are in the case by 5 a.m. If that isn't fresh enough for you....get a donut maker and fryer and a bucket of icing and have at it!!! Won't get fresher than that!!!Be fair and let's give these people a couple of months to get up and running.

YouTube - i feel pretty

There was a Hot Shoppes in Marlow Heights and a Pappy Parkers, and the Red Barn, sure do miss those days.

You got Pappy parkers fried chicken in Hot Shoppes restuarants. Just like Gino's was the only place in maryland that you could get Kentucky Fried Chicken. They didn't have their own restuarants back then.

Those were the days!!!!

That's one i don't remember. But have heard them talked about.

They are in Marlow Heights Shopping Center next to Iverson Mall, have been there since I can remember. I don't go shopping there anymore, but when I was younger use to live in that area, I guess 37 years ago, moved here in 73. Anyone remember Shakey's Pizza? Wonder whatever happened to them. You could stand in the window and watch them toss dough.

We use to go to Shakey's Pizza back in 1988, I cannot remember where it was near Silver Springs. I loved that place.

I loved Big Boys in PG Plaza. I would sit on the Big Boy Statue and wait for the metro bus. Hott Shoppes too. Not sure of spelling.

I used to letter the mirrors (listed drink prices) in the local Shakey's.

:roflmao: That is awesome!!!! All hail the donut providers :patriot: If not for them, my ass would be smaller, and that would be a god damn shame. :lmao:

Ok, this place is getting of to a bad start... Between this thread and a more recent one about desserts... I had a real need for sugar. Went across the street (literally) to try the new Dunkin Donuts. Pulled on the door, the door is locked, girl sitting in the chair. Thinking to myself, gee, problems with rif-raf already? She opens the door, NO DONTS! All sold out. She says to "maybe try again tomorrow".

Ok, I know there are growing pains, but this is no mom and pop startup. They have all the information they need, all the detailed metrics from thousands of shops across the country. They know what they need to open one store.

Not making any points in my book.... Went to Sheetz and got a Krispy Kreme.
