GOP learning to love mail-in ballots, curing, legal harvesting as it seeks to level playing field​

In a 180-degree turn, Republicans are adopting the Democratic strategy for winning elections in states where mail-in voting, ballot curing and ballot harvesting are legal.

Republicans have repeatedly sounded the alarm over universal mail-in voting, ballot curing, and ballot harvesting because of the heightened possibility for fraud, but as Democrats have used these methods to help their candidates win elections, the GOP is belatedly accepting that they must play the same game.

Following the 2020 presidential election, Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) tweeted: "How to weaken ballot integrity through the US: Ballot Harvesting, Universal Mail-In Voting, Ineligible Voters Registering and Voting, People Voting Where They Barely Reside (If At All), Allowing Ballot Defects to Be Cured In Some Areas of a State But Not Others."

Get ready for the Democrats' big $$ push to get Trump nominated​

Hey, their Akin strategy worked in New Hampshire, didn’t it? And in Arizona, Nevada, and Pennsylvania too, for that matter. Democrats spent a reported $53 million boosting what Joe Biden calls “ultra-MAGA” candidates into nominations for key Senate and House races in order to protect vulnerable incumbents or open seats.

And since that strategy largely worked, we can expect Democrats to try it again in 2024. And who better to promote than the ultra-MAGAiest MAGA of all? Especially since it is beginning to dawn on Democrats than almost any other Republican with active respiration will beat Biden like a bongo drum.

A few weeks ago, when many expected significant House losses for the party, Phillips was one of multiple Democrats predicting that the election aftermath would include more and louder calls for Biden to step aside. Phillips acknowledged last week that those calls haven’t come but attributed that more to the “culture of deference” in Congress than to renewed support for Biden.
“It’s a little bit like when Trump was president, and none of the Republicans would say what they really thought on the record,” said one Democratic strategist.
Democratic Rep. Ann McLane Kuster also expressed doubts about Biden running for reelection as she campaigned in New Hampshire. Back in Washington after winning a sixth term by a wider-than-anticipated margin, she said she’s still not convinced.

Alabama Withdraws From Democrat Operative-Controlled Voter Registration Database​

“I made a promise that I would withdraw Alabama from ERIC and I am keeping that promise,” Allen said in a statement. “I have informed them, via certified letter, that upon my inauguration on January 16, 2023, Alabama will immediately and permanently cease to transmit any information regarding any citizen in the State of Alabama to their organization and that we will no longer participate in any aspect of the ERIC program.”

As previously reported, ERIC is a voter-roll management organization used by 33 states which ostensibly exists to identify duplicate or deceased registrants (by cross-referencing states’ voter and DMV records) and thereby “clean” state voter rolls. Alabama joined ERIC in 2015 and currently pays about $25,000 a year for its membership.

However, member states may not realize ERIC was started by far-left political activist David Becker, who has dedicated his life to attacking conservatives and advancing left-wing policies. Becker also started the Center for Election Innovation and Research (CEIR), one of two leftist groups that funneled $419 million in grants from Mark Zuckerberg to mostly blue counties of swing states, funding Democratic get-out-the-vote operations from government election offices in 2020. ERIC shares voter roll data – including records of unregistered citizens – with CEIR, which then reportedly creates targeted mailing lists for unregistered but likely Democrat voters and sends them back to the states for voter registration outreach.

Democrats on the verge of upending their 2024 presidential nominating calendar​

For years Democrats have knocked Iowa and New Hampshire as being unrepresentative of the party as a whole for being largely White with few major urban areas, while the Democratic voting bloc has attracted more minorities over the past several decades. Nevada and South Carolina — which currently vote third and fourth in the calendar — are much more diverse than either Iowa or New Hampshire.

Complicating matters, Nevada Democrats last year passed a bill into law that would transform the state’s presidential caucus into a primary and aimed to move the contest to the lead-off position in the race for the White House, ahead of Iowa and New Hampshire. And compounding Iowa’s issues was the botched reporting of the 2020 caucuses, which became a national embarrassment for Iowa Democrats as well as the DNC. Michigan and Minnesota are pushing to replace Iowa as the Midwestern representative among the early voting, or so-called carve out, states.

Earlier this year the DNC moved to require Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina to reapply for early state status in the 2024 calendar. Other states interested in moving up to the top of the calendar also were allowed to apply for an early position. The DNC is also considering allowing a fifth state to obtain carve-out status. The four existing early states plus 13 others are still in contention to land pre-window status.

Democratic sources argue it’s pretty clear that Iowa will lose its position for three main reasons: First, it holds a caucus, not a primary, which the DNC has been phasing out in recent cycles. The delayed reporting of the 2020 presidential caucus results were a major embarrassment, and while Iowa was once a general election battleground, it’s shifted increasingly red in recent years.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Joe Biden is recommending a massive overhaul of the presidential nominating calendar, calling for South Carolina to replace Iowa in the leadoff position and elevate Michigan and Georgia into the mix.

Biden has proposed that South Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Georgia and Michigan make up the early voting window.

"Our party should no longer allow caucuses as part of our nominating process," Biden said in a letter dated Dec. 1 to the committee. "We must ensure that voters of color have a voice in choosing our nominee much earlier in the process and throughout the entire early window."

Scott Brennan, a member of the Democratic National Committee's Rules and Bylaws Committee confirmed the proposed changes to the Des Moines Register Thursday night. The committee met privately in Washington, D.C., before public meetings began Friday where the committee leaders briefed the members.

If you're going to beat the Dems at their election schemes, you will have to play their way, and better - hoisted by their own petard as it were.
Accuse them of voting many times? Do it yourself. Harvesting ballot schemes? You do it too. Stuff ballot boxes? Ditto. Nothing rattles them more than realizing that victory even WITH cheating isn't assured.

Although the caucus process seems weird - people ARE participating in the process. They aren't just wandering in and dropping a ballot. If I had my choice, it would either be THAT, or the old method of just letting the party decide their own nominee. If you vote for the leader of your fraternal organization or social group, nominees are often just selected by voice vote at a meeting - you sure as hell don't allow NON members a choice in the matter.

People of color can choose to participate any time they wish. There's no impediment other than a wish to be part of it.

If They Want To Win, Republicans Must Beat Democrats At Their Own Game​

Last week on TruthSocial, Trump wrote - in ALL CAPS for emphasis, “REMEMBER, YOU CAN NEVER HAVE FAIR & FREE ELECTIONS WITH MAIL-IN BALLOTS - NEVER, NEVER, NEVER. WON’T AND CAN’T HAPPEN!!!”

Well if that’s true, the GOP is dead. Since the 2020 election, Democrats beat Republicans by 9 percentage points when it comes to voting by mail. Trump can whine all he wants, and perhaps some or even much of it is justified, but how are laws going to be changed in these states before they swing all the way blue? Arizona now has a Democratic governor. Nevada just elected a Republican, but the state’s senate is still Democratic. Are Democrats going to give up their golden goose because Republicans whine?

So is all hope lost? As Lee Corso would say, not so fast! It’s time to start at least attempting to beat Democrats at their own game. I know this is hard for some of you to hear, but as it happens, Republicans are quite capable of voting by mail too. And, as has been shown in several key California districts critical to the GOP taking over the House next month, they can also ballot harvest. It just takes a paradigm shift that has been a long time coming.

Attorney Harmeet Dhillon, who should be running the Republican National Committee instead of perpetual losers like Ronna McDaniel, suggested as much during an appearance on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” last week. “We are not chasing ballots,” she said. “We are not doing what the Democrats do, which is making sure that we hunt down every Republican ballot and get it to the polls and get it in early.”

In a recent appearance on Fox News, Nikki Haley, the former South Carolina governor and former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, listened while host Sean Hannity listed some of the potential Republican candidates she might have to run against if she decides to seek the White House in 2024. After he named former President Donald Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, former Secretary of State and former CIA director Mike Pompeo, and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, Haley paused and then said with a smile, “Most of them are my friends. … Let the best woman win.”

It was a clever line, but does it hint at a calculated strategy that will subtly build the case that male Republican leaders have failed the party — and the nation — in recent election cycles? To that question, during that same interview, Haley reminded Hannity and his substantial audience that “Republicans have lost the last seven out of the last eight popular votes for president.”

There is no doubt that Haley realizes major changes are taking place within the Republican, conservative and traditional-faith voter base — namely, that it has become much more open to having women and people of color on a presidential ticket. And Haley may be more than willing to creatively remind that voter base of the past failures of white males who have led our country.

Nikki Haley has consistently polled so far below other candidates for President that she's going to lose more than she can gain if she decides to assault Donald Trump. That's never going to produce a net GAIN among Republicans.

My concern with her is the same as with many people who were once on the Trump train - they benefited greatly by being his friend, but are totally willing to try and gain a political edge by NOT being his friend. That's a general red flag to me no matter what year it is, or who is running. It's kind of the same reasoning you have about dating someone who cheated on their spouse (possibly, with YOU) - and that is, if they cheat on THEM, they'll cheat on YOU. A politician who jumps ship for political expedience will never be on YOUR side.

At least - not for long.

Nikki Haley Declares Her Candidacy For The Presidency​

She then contrasted America’s freedom with the despotic actions of authoritarian regimes across the world.

“I have seen evil; in China they commit genocide; in Iran, they murder their own people for challenging the government,” she continued. “And when a woman tells you about watching soldiers throw her baby into a fire, it puts things into perspective. Even on our worst day, we are blessed to live in America.”

Haley’s take-no-prisoners attitude at the U.N. earned her praise among conservatives. She called anti-Semitic UNESCO a “cesspool” and “among the most corrupt and politically biased UN agencies.” She fiercely defended the U.S. embargo on Cuba when the U.N. once again condemned the U.S., saying, “The United States will continue to stand with the Cuban people until their rights and their freedoms are restored. Period. We won’t back down.”

Nikki Haley was governor of South Carolina, where she distinguished herself by surrendering to the mob on the state's flag. It's not that the rebel flag is any great shakes – guys flying it burned down the Schlichters' hometown of Chambersburg a couple of times, and we hold grudges – but it was her sanctimonious acceptance of the whole narrative behind the faux outrage that exposed her inner establishment conformist. She also bought the Bubba Wallace noose nonsense because, of course, she did. She cares what the establishment thinks. She cares what the regime media thinks. She cares what her consultants think. And she thinks what you and I, the conservative base, think is scary and frightening. But she'll pretend to be down with it if that is what it takes to win.

If you ever want to know what Nikki Haley will do, you need but put a finger to the breeze and thereby know which way she will go. She is a human windsock, a consultant-driven conventional wisdom advocate who spews tired "Let's build bridges to a better tomorrow"-type dross from circa 2005. She always seems on the verge of demanding that you conservative ruffians keep it down and let the adults talk.

Even when she is right, which she is simply because she cloaks herself in conservatism, you get the idea her heart is not in it. She got huffy with me when I observed that she was hanging out with that lizard John Brennan as if the problem was me pointing out her collaboration. She was an adequate UN ambassador primarily because she usually just said no to the commies and Third-World potentates. As such, she met our minimal standard, yet what apple cart did she overturn? The krauts are still moaning about Ric Grenell's tenure as ambassador to Deutschland, but does anyone remember anything Nikki did except suck up to Trump?
