Moral of story EV are junk they cant carry anything heavy and cost to much who wants to sit around and wait for a charge when you can fill up and go in 5-10 minutes in a ICE vehicle and then you have to worry what the cost is for a new battery pack/ you dont really get to travel that far on a charge and now your a Nazi for having one and to me that sounds like a good reason not to get one im just saying...lol

You are only a Nazi if you own a Tesla. :) Not sure if owning the stock makes me one.

So, if I own the stock, and THEN buy one, does that make a Double Nazi or do they cancel out?

Ooof, no longer a growth stock, can it recover?

Many growth stocks take a beating for their growth slowing down, this is shrinking.

Can it? Of course it can. Lets look closer.

1. Note all three factories had multiweek shutdowns to roll out a refresh of the best selling product. They are ramping back up to sell that new version, widely accepted by everyone to be a pretty big improvement. Might miss being the best selling car (not just EV) in the world for a second year, but it will only be by a little. Hard to judge growth when you have an event like that Check back in two quarters when the lines are fully ramped.
2. Robotaxi production beginning soon.
3. Less expensive models of drivable cars entering production.
4, Energy storage rose over 150%, looks like growth to me :)
5. 37 billion in the bank they are not at risk
6. Optimus robots begin production.

Any one of the above can drive more growth. If two or more hit big?

If they can upgrade the Optimus robot to a model T-800, I’ll put down a deposit.

My question isn't as a viable company, it's should it still be considered a growth stock and have the valuation of one. I say no, stocks with this high of a valuation must maintain accelerating growth.

I’m sure that Elon can make some modifications and beat out the Chinese.
He could, just like he could make an awesome EV motorcycle. But he wont, for the same reason. Too dangerous in his opinion.

Yep. Growth comes and goes. Dopes any growth company ever not have periods of slower growth? Were the plan to just keep making cars, with slow model year changes and no other product lines, I might agree. My points were made to show that more growth is not just possible, but inevitable. Look at energy storage. That's crazy growth and the second factory has just stood up. Maybe Optimus and robotaxi and less expensive models all crash...... I'm not betting that way.

As a company they will be just fine, they are too mature to have a multiple as high as they do.

I remember the same things being said of dot coms, telcos, biotech etc in the past, pretty much any type of growth stock there ever has been. One stock i got my feet wet with was JDS Uniphase it was always "there is no end near" until it was blood in the water.
