You changed your narrative when called out! Sorry Clem try again . Keep trying to cover up .

I didn't change my narrative, you must be retarded. The post you quoted specifically said in very dark conditions like we just had during the storm (responding to peopleselbow) it would work a "day or two". Which I just vetted.

If you meant to reference my original comment, you should have quoted that comment. And in that original comment I said it might work a week or more even when overcast/cloudy. This was just an off the cuff comment I put out based on recall of what he told me about his system. I didn't do a damn energy estimate and he never said "my power was out for a week and it was overcast and I continued life as normal".

That said, considering the numbers I pulled showed an averaged of around 20kWh per day and also that a 4kW system would repay 20kW per day, that seems to work out. On a sunny day he would replace 100% of usage, on an overcast day it would be less. I didn't say very dark or rainy, just said overcast or cloudy, so if that's 50% of a normal days payback his system would last about 5 days, if it were 75% it would last the full week.

Your the one that jumped in and said it was bullshit without any numbers to back anything up.

I knew it was BS from the start ( I've been doing it forever ) you are the one that threw out your EE degree, just because you have one doesn't mean you are good at it. I called it BS you tried to cover , didn't work though . Next time think before you post and when you screw up just admit it. I won't hold it against you . The only one's who don't screw up are the ones that are not doing anything.

You are clearly delusional. I vetted everything with numbers and stuck to my story, you are just making crap up and flapping yer yap without a single thing to back it up.

I'm done with you, don't bother responding I won't see it.

Nothing here to twist you said he could run his household oh solar and battery back up. Which means runs normally . I knew from the get go this was wrong . I've installed generators and UPS systems in my 49 year career as an electrician and contractor hardly anyone puts in enough back up to run normally.

So you are trying to say that you can run this 1500 square foot home can run on 600 kwh per month then you are trying to say that you can run YOUR house on 1250 KWH for a month ( not on the best month you ever had ) quit trying to kid me and yourself !

I'd like to hear from other members in this group and hear what their monthly KWH usage is ( it's right on the back of your SMECO bill at the top ) and the approx square footage of your house .

I live in a 2500 square foot house with oil heat and oil water heating 2x6 walls, foam insulation and Anderson windows and my usage is around 1300 kwh per month . Like I said YOUR math don't work .

Yes bucko now you are changing the narrative saying he doesn't use everything I'll say it again (YOUR math don't work )
Checking my Smeco bill, my average daily usage is 40.8kwh. 14,982/year, 1241/month. 4 bed, 3 bath split foyer, all electric with a 16 seer heat pump and about 1.5 cords of wood burnt annually. I like it hot, thermostat at 77-78 in cooling season, 76 all winter long. 3 adult residents.

I prefer 66 in winter months (do not turn heat on for the first time until the Kona Ice cups in the cabinet start to change from blue to purple) and 68 for sleeping 70 during day for summer.

I save a lot during the summer, but gladly pay it back in the winter. Luckily my wife's comfortable temperature agrees with mine.

Just sneakin' around....
It definitely helps when all agree on the temp!
I hate it when I get into arguments with myself.
"It's cold in here."
"No, it isn't. But if you're cold, get up and turn up the thermostat."
"I don't want to get up."
"Then be cold."
"Where's my blanket?"
"In the wash."
"Nutz." :gets up, turns up the thermostat:

"It's too warm in here."
"No pleasing you, is there?"

I like getting into arguments/discussions with myself. The discussions can be short or long but I am always right.

Wife sent a text to me about an hour ago asking if I paid SMECO this month. I did but we are one of 22 customers in SMC without power this evening. A frayed and broken line created a small fire at the end of our road causing the lights to go out. Gonna be after 7 before repairs are complete. Yay!
