Just saw a segment on Inside Edition. One of the hosts of The View said people are being offended by this because they are looking to be offended. She went on to say that this kind of publicity actually detracts from the actual problems of sexism.

I don't watch The View, I hate it, hate the hosts, bunch of cackling hens, but this one was right.

There's a delicate line between making jokes about boobs - and making observations about a *specific* person's boobs.

It's the difference between making fun of some unnamed person's really large ass - and someone doing the same to you, to your face.

However, people HAVE observed that while a woman - a lesbian - is likely to get away with this kind of joke, today no man would get away with it in the same situation.
