And we keep doing it. School starting later because its so difficult for teenagers to function early in the morning. How in the hell did I manage to get thru my teen years??? My parents made us go to bed at a reasonable time, no if's ands or buts. I did the same thing with my daughters. In bed no later than 10 when they were in middle/high school. Before cell phones, I allowed my daughters to have a phone in their bedroom, got up in the middle of the night and heard them talking and laughing on the phone. It was yanked out of their room immediately. It gets on my nerves when I hear these parents complaining about social media and how its such a bad influence and real detriment to their kids. Guess what...you're the parents, act like it!! You pay for the phone and the plan, cut it off!!! If you're relying on social media to monitor what your kids are seeing and hearing, you're an idiot!!!
