English Paper On Daycare Facilities

I am doing an English paper on Daycare facilities In St. Mary's County. Now first off, does anyone have input on if there are enough Daycare facilities in the County? Also, where could I get a data sheet on how many parents live in the area or an esimated number of military being transferred to the area for an increase in population? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No. They're are not. I know people that have been on waiting lists for months for an infant opening. :boo:

If you are writing an English paper, the first thing you should do is lose the apostrophe in "Daycare's." TIA

Holy Crap! I don't think that Starmaker's is that long. But, it's all on location preference, right? Sunshine Center is near hospital, right?

I edited my Daycare's to Daycare facilities. I never said I did well in English, just need information on a paper I am researching. Thank you for the advice.

We are here to help. I credit Nickel with saving me from a life of "would of" "should of" "could of" and find that I even speak it properly as well now.

I am so very blessed
I've been on a waiting list for 8 months for an infant under 2 years old. I just called to check on my status and was told that an opening at my desired daycare won't be available until April at the earliest. :ohwell:

I'd say that there is a huge problem with finding *affordable* daycare with trusted and licensed providers.

Well, not to take anything away from what CowGirl said, that has not been my experience in trying to secure safe and reliable daycare services.

In My Opinion
The way I see it.
Back in the 50s and into the 60s there was no need for daycare.
Fathers worked, mothers stayed home and did motherly things, like dress real nice while cleaning the bathroom and taking care of the beaver and Wally.

Then came this whole women working thing, got to have women working for you and got to actually pay them.

Now this doubled the applicants that companies had for each and every job, basically, overnight the workers to jobs ratio doubled.

The next logical step of course was for the employers to take note of this huge influx of available workers and actually lower the pay scale due to the competition in the market.

In the end, this has caused the pay scales to drop to a level that we now must have two income households and, the babies must be shipped off to a baby day camp where they will be indoctrinated into the liberal way of life, being forced to share toys and all with even the funny looking kids.

No longer can we the male, the breadwinner, the head of the household, the man the king, the superior being that all shall fall down and worshi.... oh wait, that could go wrong too.
Anyway, June aint home no more with Wally and the Beav' so the need for daycare has increased much since the days of our God intended way of life.

Oh wait; this was about daycare issues today, never mind.

Well, why don't all you moms looking for affordable daycare just open up your own? That way you can make money and stay at home with your babes. :huggy: :yay:

Seriously though...you could make OK money for getting to be at home and raise your kids....
