:lmao: The Friday Enterprise (2.3.2006) in a very big front page article formulated the question,

When is the area's growth from the Pax River Navy Base enough for this tri-County area? When is growth too much? (Paraphrased).

:yay: So here is the factual answer to the questions that the Enterprise posed from the one that knows and that is going to do some thing about it.

It factually becomes too much growth from the Navy Base on the very day that the puppet regime in 29B is replaced by the just contender in 29B.

Thus the too much growth will face judgment on election day when the St. Mary's County oligarchy greed comes to an end.

:eyebrow: If we want to create strength and to put out fear then we must start to set an example of valor.

Victory Starts in 29B. FYI.

Ok, so you win the election. Lets just pretend for a moment.

How will you get ride of Navy Base growth? Even once elected you will have no power over the base. Even the President can't eliminate the base. :lmao:

JPC,

The growth/expansion that has your feathers all ruffled is in itself part of the Defense Appropriations budget, a piece of legislation crafted and passed by Congress. How do you propose to limit the expansion from the lowly seat of a delegate in the Maryland General Assembly?

:smack: Actually our form of government gives the position of Legislature Delagate a vast amount of authority. Just because we have timid and shallow representatives in our local area is what makes those position limited.

You are correct that a Delegate has no direct power over the Base but we do have a direct authority over our community. That is what representative means. To speak and act for those that elect the Delegate, and not to sell out the power over to big business.

The present growth into St. Mary's County could not take place except our elected officials permit it and they are permitting it. When I am elected that permission will end. Then I can use both persuation (based on the Election) and then the Courts if need be to stop this wanton greed that is overloading our home.

Our present leaders are shirking their duty by supporting the massive growth into our County that is overloading our infrastructure and 29B is the most responsible. It could not be done without a puppet in 29B and I will put an end to that.

The growth coming to SMC is causing super inflated property prices, inflated rent prices, overloaded roads, crammed full jail with crime on the rise, water table overdrawn, schools very overcrowded, and much more. The whole County is negatively affected by this senseless greed.

Our leaders have the power to stop it but they have formed a group like oligarchy where the common population is their pawns while they rake in their greed. When I get into 29B then we will start going back to sensible government, and back to some old time Democrat values of putting a check on the big business.

JPC,

Any clue as to what the following means in regard to what one can or cannot do as a Delegate in the Maryland General Assembly?

The Congress shall have the power;

To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States, and to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful Buildings;

Wake up. This is THEIR house because without them, there is no house. Just because you are happily unemployed doesn't mean everyone wants to be.

No, it doesn't.

No, it's because the position of Delegate truly has very little power.

Ok, that's correct, but that does not give you "direct authority over our community".

You really should figure out what a delegate does and how little power they have.

BadGirl

I am so very blessed
I like having the base here, as I consider a continued paycheck a very good thing.

JPC, You will most certainly NOT get my vote.
