Strung Out
Yesterday.
I thought I failed. I put a foot down and then went outside the line on the
20' box PLUS had to re-do the brake test; started stopping before the cones.
Now, if I can find a way top get paid to test ride bikes and take skill classes...
On my Strat, pretty wide bars, I started the box exercise splaying my legs, which I have developed a habit doing at low speed, to give the bars room to turn to the stops. This is when I almost dropped the bike during one pass as the front brake lever mysteriously, and suddenly, pressed up against my knee pad. This resulted in a rather surprising loss of forward mo' and a heart clutching ALMOST!
So, the rest of that exercise, I worked on gripping the tank which, surprise, numb nuts , worked pretty much as the bike was designed.
So, what do I do when test time comes? Back to the bad habit and I put my foot down and went wide.
All in all, good stuff!
