I don't know how it is possible to generate a crime "rate" without specifically knowing the number of persons that are here illegally.

You simply don' t have enough data to make a good calculation and not enough definitive data to make a decent sample.

I still think overall - the point is moot. Even ONE violent crime committed by someone who's not supposed to be here is one crime too many.
It's kind of like allowing a large pack of wolves into a gated community, and pointing out there was only one attack - when there should have been zero.

Illegal aliens commit more crimes than the people in my orbit. Because those folks don't break the law. And that's all that matters to me. I'm pretty insulated from the violent crimes of homegrown Americans. But if they allow enough illegals to live here, that violence could end up at my front door.

Yes, they are here illegally. That's a given. That aside, the characterization that they ALL come here to commit crime is false. The crime rate per every 100 undocumented is lower than the crime rate per every 100 citizens and per every 100 LPRs.

I dont buy into that at all.
I worked around hundreds of South of the Rio Grand Illegals and not one of those wett-backs paid the correct payroll income tax.
All of them claimed at least 6 dependents and paid almost nothing in State or Federal Payroll Taxes.
Then the greater portion lived with a girlfriend or wife here that would claim her and her two kids were indigent and lived in subsidized housing and would sign up for everything free from the Government Plantation they could get.
Lets not talk about the DUI's & DWI's that they earn.
What eventually gets them hung up after years of just getting new SS and Green card when its time to change there name is, running those finger prints. And then if they post bond or get released is hop a plane back home and vaporize back to a world that cares less what they did here.

This country has been more than welcoming and accommodating to immigrants. And many of them have been successful in their new country - educated their children, started small businesses, bought homes, became productive citizens. But there are a large number of them who not only contribute nothing but crime and chaos, they then have the gall to wave the freaking flag of the country they "fled" while bitching about us who took them in.

It's fascinating that Democrats go into convulsions when they see a Confederate flag, yet think it's perfectly okay for illegal aliens to come over here and wave the Mexican or Honduran or whatever flag while bitching about what a shitty country this is.
