Just before I left his sorry ass, I made my ex some bread pudding with chopped up carpenter ants in in. I told him ..."it must be the pepper." He ate it all!

:roflmao:

pepper.....:lmao:

the ants do not sound too appetizeing. Doughnuts on the other hand yum :yay:

I used rasisns even though I do not care for them I thought the kids might have liked them.

I have been eating the pudding all weekend for desert cause no one else in the house liked it. I have almost finished the whole pan.

Maybe because it was too sandy.

Down south and especially in New Orleans, bread pudding is an art form. I ate probably 6 different versions when I was down there and they were all delicious. :yum:

I always screw that up, too. Is there a rule of thumb for remembering the dessert has 2 S's?

8yo heard her say no likey so he agreed

of course if the 5yo heard the 8yo say no likey she aint even tryin it. So plenty for me.

I didnot even burn myself with the hot water in the bottom pan.

Oh my goodness!!! You people sure know how to make somebody drool!

Paula Deen has a recipe for bread puddin' with the donuts. Go onto the foodnetwork.com site and you can find the recipe there. You will also find a whole bunch of other recipes for bread puddin' from just about ALL the chefs/cooks for the food network on their website.

http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_35169,00.html?rsrc=search

If anyone has a recipe for vanilla sauce I would greatly appreciate it. Food Network has one, but they call it by a different name.

I've never made bread puddin', but I think I am going to give it a try this week. I am going to try it with whole grain bread, and will let you know how it turned out.
