...My Mastiff has been acting like a dog! Imagine that! Prior to bringing the baby home from the hospital, I have never heard her bark at a stranger or be even minimally aggressive at investigating noises and protecting the kids.

HOLY CRAP this dog has a loud bark. Scared the crap outta the mailman last week and made him drop our mail before it hit the mail slot.

Now, I know, there are those out there that are going to tell me this is a bad sign, new aggression signs with newborn in the house :blahblah: . Nope. Even though her bark is loud and she scares strangers, she still scares herself when she does it and runs and hides shortly afterwards.

You have other kids and she never did this? Maybe she is just more mature and becoming "motherly".

3 other kids and she NEVER acted like this before. She scared the begeezus out of my neighbor yesterday as she was trying to get out of her car. I think she's 82 now. :roflmao: "Easy there killer, I think we're safe now".

When are you going to be bringing the little tyke down for a proper introduction?

Shortly before my daughter was born, my cat decided that he was transfering the title of "Chief Human Slave" to my oldest boy. :yay: He no longer sleeps between my feet at night, which means I don't kick a cat nearly as often as I used to. If allowed, the wife's cat would transfer her "Chief Human Slave" title to the oldest girl, but she doesn't like the cat sleeping in her room.
