exactly why cops need to stop that speed trap crap

Stepping out into traffic wasn't too bright. I've seen a Maryland State police officer do the same thing on Rt 4. Do they think they are indestructable?

They use that method of speed trap around here all the time and this isn't the first officer thats been hit as a result.

>>>Investigators believe the driver -- a 24-year-old Columbia woman whose name was not released -- did not see Wheeler before he was struck. No charges have been filed against her, but they are "anticipated," McMahon said.<<<

What charges could they be anticipating? When that Hatfield guy the feds were harassing over the anthrax letters stepped off a curve to take a picture of the police who were following him and they sped up and ran into him, Hatfield was given a ticket for stepping into the road.

So a citizen gets ticketed for stepping into the road and getting hit by the police and when the police step into the road and get hit by a citizen, the citizen still gets charged. And the police wonder why they have such respect issues with the public?

I was headed up Rte 4 North a few months ago and one stepped out in front of me right before Mt. Harmony Road...EVERYONE started slamming on their breaks to avoid the cars he was trying to get over. Not a smart idea!

I posted the article about the incident here and at that time, he was considered serious.

Like I said, maybe this is what it takes to stop a dangerous method of speed enforcement. :peace:

I got a smack in the butt last summer because a cop stepped in front of me trying to make a truck stop in the lane next to me. :duh:
