External Hard Drive Problem

So, it’s been two days and so far, chkdsk E: /f, chkdsk E: /r, chkdsk E: /offlinescanandfix, & chkdsk E: /sdccleanup have failed with the error "insufficient diskspace to fit volume bitmap. CHKDSK aborted". I ran chkdsk E: /scan before I left for work but I don't have high hopes. I did find a seagate "SeaTools for Windows" download that I'll try this evening.
