Maybe I am alone here but everytime I go into WalMart I drop at least $100. EVERYTIME. I can never go in and get just one or two things.

I get home and am like WTF did I buy. They have all this crap on end caps...a plastic drink pitcher w/ 6 cups inside for $3... OMG $3 for that what a deal so in the cart it goes and so on and so on...

I do the same thing at big lots. I go in for one thing (cleaning products are waay cheaper in there..and I have a cleaning product problem) and I come out 70-80 bucks later..with the most off the wall crap. I LOVE that place.

I havent been to a big lots in 10 years. I should check it out I hear a lot of people get some good deals.

My other place is Costco. I literally can not get out of there w/ out spending $300!

OMFG that #### is so nasty. My mom decided to save $ and started using vinegar & baking soda in place of regular cleaning products. Her house smelled awful it literally made me become ill. I had to leave :dead:

There are some things you just can not be cheap on.

They have gone up a bit in the last few years, but so has everyone. Some things are not a deal at all, some are awesome. I got a bottle of snuggle (the fancy kind, almond ) for 4 bucks, generic oxyclean for 2 and some change, a nice big bottle of EV olive oil for 5...and believe it or not, the furniture they have in there is actually fairly nice, for the price. I like to go walk around, its amazing the random stuff in there sometimes. Last year I got the CUTEST bags for a cookie swap there for a couple bucks.

So you realize that you telling me this will have me going there and dropping $ dont you
:nomoney: :killingme

The febreeze ones are SO good..the smell never mellows out and one or two keep my entire upstairs scented.

I was actually really surprised w/ the BH&G candle melts that they sell at walmart...yes another end cap special $2 each .... dang those things are actually stronger than Yankee. Plus they are 6 squares so they last twice as long too.

Ya'll are crazy. Vinegar works great for almost everything. If that doesn't work then I break out the baking soda.

All of you guys who are cleaning product hoarders - think of all the money you could SAVE by only buying a few products. You really *don't* need all those things. Heloise has the best ideas - and they've worked all these years - still work today.

And clean smells clean. It doesn't smell like Febreeze.

But I don't want my house to smell like Massengil, either!

I hoard toilet paper, paper towels, bath soap, and Shampoo! I have a small room in my house just for that stuff.

I LOVE buying shamoo :buddies:

I don't think hoarding or extreme couponing is about saving money - it's about getting/having stuff. I used to hoard makeup and skin care crap until recently when I made myself cut it out.

So did my mom. She wears makeup for weddings and funerals only. If you look in here makeup bag all you'll see is dried up seafoam green and powder blue shades. Oh and her foundation is crusty. I've told her that even though there's no expiration date on them, she needs to trash them after 10 years. :lmao:
