Extreme Road Rage, what do you do? w/vid

:yikes: That was scary to watch. Good thing the car being targeted was being driven by a good defensive driver! And, I was scared for the bikers that were on that road during the idiocy of the driver with the rage! Wow. They could show the video to police, and easily see the tag; or, even with proof, does it matter, after the fact?

That is NOTHING compared to the two psychotics that passed us going up 270 one evening about a month ago.

We were just cruising along in the slow lane, pretty much alone, and I saw a car coming in the hammer lane pretty damn quick. I know I was doing 75.

So, the OTHER car on car #1's ass is so tight, I only see one car and all of a sudden, as they get even to us, the guy trailing, who I didn't see, EXPLODES around us, ONTO THE shoulder. Had I flinched, even let off the gas a tiny bit, I think he'd have nailed us.

So, these two go careening, REALLY trying to kill one another, not just pussyfooting like Camry guy. They come within inches a couple times, careening back and forth, RIGHT ON ONE another as I slow down and let them go.

We were shocked, really, to not come upon a nasty wreck the rest of the way.

In any event, if anyone gets hostile with me, at all, I haven't survived this long to become a statistic. Unlike our Hero who decides to try and run away from Camry man, I just slow all I need to let them go on their way.

In My Opinion
The dude filming should show it to police. He's a good driver too.

DId you hear in the video where he said the guy in the yota was pissed because he brake jobbed him first?

Im with Larry (I know, not common) slow down and let numbnuts get ahead of you.
I do the same with people riding up my butt, I slow down to create more distance between me and the cars in front, that way I have more time to slow down, giving the numbnuts more time to react and slow without hitting me.

I hate dents.

That's where I am too, but one time on rural Virginia road, a pickup full of drunken idiots that decided they had some issue with me (I was driving slow, waiting for someone to catch up with me..and tried to wave them around) and wouldn't get off my butt. I pulled completely over on the grass shoulder and stopped....and they slid to a stop right in front of me and piled out..

Needless to say, I took off again in a big hurry. They gave chase and even came along side at high speed but finally noticed, I suspect, that both rear windows in my Bronco were covered with firearms in gun racks....or they got tired of the game. Lots of f'idiots out there.

I used to work with a guy who had a similar incident waaayyyyy back in the day in which he admits he contributed to the rise in tensions. He'd had his fill and waved the other car around to no good effect.

There ended up being shots fired back and forth at high speed.

There is something about being in a car that makes us psychos.

I've had another motorist pull a knife while driving down rt.4 once.

Had 2 guys jump out on me and a car full of my buddies.....it didn't end well for them.
