While taking these macros, I began to wonder what these eye were thinking. I can only imagine what the fathers of our country may have had on there minds while possing for the pictures that were used.

Most likey they had worms on their minds.
They were long dead when those engravings were made

Yes, but the engravings were made from painting that were done when they were alive. The painting of Washington used is at the National Portrait Museum in DC. Itwas used even though it was never completed.
