Not really a different issue.... It is like I said before, if this was an auto manufacturer this would be a different situation.
If it has been determined that they installed an unsuitable and under-powered transmission then there would be accountability and they would extend the warranty to cover replacement of the transmission to a proper item. However, since they are not held accountable, they only need to deny any wrong doing and roll the dice hoping that too many of them do not fail which is apparently what they decided to do.
I just spoke with the Tuff Torq rep yesterday (makers of the transmission installed) and even he said there was a problem with Husqvarna, JD, etc. installing these sized transmissions on their tractors. Unfortunately, they cannot do anything because they were not the ones whom decide on which tractors to install them.
