Facebook and NMCI

I am having difficulty getting on Facebook on my NMCI computer. Never had a problem before. I can get on other websites fine. I keep having to hit "refresh" 20 times before it lets me on and then it freezes. Anyone have a solution to fix the problem???

You should call the NMCI help desk and let them know you are having problems attempting to "Facebook". They would want to know.

I bet you're gettin the white screen that says Network problem. It happens, especially during high periods of activity (such as lunch).

But guess what? You should be happy they let ya on it, because a ton of contractors off-site have it blocked. So deal with the little access you can actually manage and be happy that you can actually access it, since there is no good reason in the world for them to allow us on there.

Here is a workaround for you... Buy a BlackBerry. You can facebook all day long

Last i read somewhere the USMC has banned Facebook. So i take it the Navy is not far behind, and since NMCI is both that's what's going on.

Next time it happens, hold down the ALT key and press F4.

why would you assume the Navy follows in the footsteps of the USMC? Uncle Sam's Misguided Children don't dictate what the Navy does, because alot of the time they do overly ridiculous things that the Navy feels are unnecessary

It's a proxy server. Basically, you enter FB from another website so the domain isn't actually facebook.com.
