Millions of members talking about walking away from the Democrat Party plantation. No plotting, no violence, Brandon Straka always kept a firm grip on that sort of thing. But FB removed them anyway.

The MUCH smaller Walkaway Discussion Group is still alive - but not for long.

What's incredible is that:

  1. The Walkaway site was designed and administered to be one thing - a site for testimonials. Discussion was held elsewhere. "Walkaway" was JUST to tell your story.
  2. Almost every post mentioned that people and media tried to claim that all of the testimonies were fake and created with stock photos of random people. NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN they're real and therefore dangerous.

So which is it?

It's whatever they want it to be at any given time.

I don't think most people understand how serious this is. They're like, meh, Facebook and Twitter, who cares, I don't use it anyway. But it's much much bigger and more sinister than that and it's happening precisely because people are so clueless and only care when something directly affects them in their little tiny personal world.

"First they came for the _ and I didn't care because I wasn't a _" - that sort of thing.

Well, while that is a bit redundant, it missed the mark. "Apostasy" is the definition of leaving a religion or political party. In the minds of democrats, leaving their party or not being part of that party is sedition. You're evil and the enemy.

It would of course be simply symbolic at this point - I've always been conservative - but I think to the surprise of many here - I've also always been registered as a Democrat. Originally my reasoning who gives a crap if I disagree with some of their ideas, some of them are good, and the Republicans never want to change anything, even if it's bad or sorely needs changing.

In lieu of recent years and especially this last Congress - be honest even if you ARE a Democrat - they've done nothing - I'm leaving.

Here's my situation - I don't know how to leave. I can't find a place that says, here, officially quit.

How do I leave - officially? If I don't do that, they'll just keep sending me crap and calling my house.

Big Tech is in bed with the democrats. Why, well for one, now that they have control over the congress and the administration the don't want to get regulated. Even though they were leftists before, they have all the more reason to take action.
Oh, and before any libtrad or constitutional scholar says they can do what they want because the First Amendment only applies to the government suppression of free speech - THINK AGAIN.

I mean, you can write them a strongly worded letter but they'll just throw it in the trash unread. When I dumped them I just changed my voter registration. They do see it when their numbers drop.

Of course, they'll think that it's because of Trump because they're stupid, and will double down on the Leftism bullshit thinking that's why people are dumping them.
