Was that the Mothman Festival? Did they get to hangout with the AIMS crew?
Yes sir! All 5 at once, from what I've heard. You'd think she was talking about being backstage with Eddie VH in the 80s from the excitement in her eyes. 😆

Were you there? Did you meet her? She has dirty blondish-brownish-somethingish ponytail down to her waist, with just a wisp of gray at her temples. Green to hazel eyes with her irises ringed in dark gray.

Ah no, I wasn't there. Just knew it had taken place. Who was her favorite - Willie, Wild Bill, Huckleberry, Jeff or Buck?

happy to be living
Recently, we had the back deck torn down and completely rebuilt to include a 12X12 open porch for grilling and a 12X12 screened porch. We have enjoyed it a few times when it wasn't super hot. It's been great to be able to keep the door open from the dining room and our cats can enjoy the fresh air.
Someone bought some acreage behind us and is bulldozing and has been cutting down mature trees for the past week and we get to listen to the equipment from sunup to past sundown. And they are burning a lot which has given me a massive headache. So much for enjoying the quiet and fresh air...And soon we will have the ahem- pleasure- of listening to a new house being built and the additional truck traffic.
My husband flew over and took pics on Friday and they are clearing a significant amount of land. SIGH. All I can hope for is that they build a million dollar home that will make our property values go up

That sucks. I hope they leave a buffer of trees so you don't have to look at the back of their new home.

Wife and I are planning on planting a buffer with the neighbor behind us at the house in Cumberland. Our back yard looks into their front yard and their above ground pool. Fast growing thujas will make a nice barrier.

IDK for sure, but leaning towards Huckleberry. She sent me a picture of him/her and added a visit to his Pub in Mineral Springs to our bucket list that I didn't even know WE had.

Just sneakin' around....
I told her I wasn't a big fan of the beach. Now I'm looking at Jeeps with sand tires.
I used to drive on the beach a lot pulling a trailer, in really fine sugar sand. Instead of sand tires, you need to get really good radial tires with good sidewall ply. The reason is that when you hit the beach, you air down the tires to about 10 lbs. You'll glide over the top of the sand. Sand tires are soft and get punctures very easily. Good radials don't.

99% of the people that get stuck in sand didn't air down.

I miss those days. Sun, fun, scuba, camping on the beach.
