Family Fun Activities?

Hey people!

So I just moved to Leonardtown a few months ago and I was wondering if there are any fun things to do.

I'm talking about bowling, roller/ice skating, paint balling, movies?..etc etc

Just anything that's fun to do.

If ANYONE knows a place to do any of these activities, I would love you forever if you gave me names of places and possibly numbers

Bowling is in California, MD across from San Sunci Plaza.

St. Mary's County do not have roller/ice skating. However, Leonard Junior Recrection Hall in Leonardtown have Roller Skating on specific days.

Paintballing - they are all over the county (mostly private groups on private property of the owners who play paintballing). There's a Paintball store called "Sure Shot" (I think that's what it is called) in Callaway Shopping Plaza Center.

Movies - Theater is in Lexington Park, but it isn't very good one (too many broken seats, sticky floors, etc.). Just rent a movies to watch at home or go up to Annapolis to watch a movie in the theater.

There's plenty of golf courses in the county, alot of beaches and parks to use, etc.

Read the local newspaper to get community activites or go to St. Mary's County website that have list of bunches of what's in the community. Somd.com front home page have a list of community activities as well.

Day: Saturday’s, every Saturday year round
Time: 5:30 – 8:30 PM
Fee: $3.00 per person. Skates available for rental at $2.50 per person, or bring your own!

Not sure what age group your family has.But In leonardtown there is the family adventure center.It's just off route 5,past Ryken high school..They have paintball,go-karts,moon bounces,and an arcade.

Also with warmer weather coming most of the area's parks and public beaches are starting to open.

Then in waldorf there is capital clubhouse they have ice skating..

Drive across the bridge any time to Solomons, MD. There you can stroll on the boardwalk by the river and have an icecream cone, visit a seafood restaurant, and tour the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in Solomons, including climbing the light-house, and riding on the harbor cruise boat "Tennyson."

Pick up a quarterly brochure from the Parks and Recreation Department of all the classes, camps and trips they offer. Also, three times a year Leonardtown has antique and classic car shows which are fun.
