This weekend, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series invades Southern California on Oscar weekend. After a rainy weekend at Daytona, fans and teams hope for a sunny, star-studded field at the Auto Club Speedway of Southern California.

Racingforthewin.com's Cesar Covarrubias will be covering the race on location live all weekend so check the site out all weekend long.

BTW - Dr. House (Hugh Laurie) will deliver the command.

Here are the standings after Daytona.

  1. Nachomama - 10
  2. Toppick - 10
  3. Andy - 0
  4. Clevalley - 0
  5. Gumbo - 0
  6. Homedepot20 - 0
  7. Huntr - 0
  8. OldGuy - 0

My picks:
  1. Johnsen
  2. Wildthing (here's to hoping he repeats his Daytona 500 performance:biggrin:)
  3. Flipper
  4. Gordon
  5. Kenseth

Good luck.

I still wish Rockingham was the second race on the schedule... or even on the schedule for that matter. :ohwell:

No rain in store it seems.

Perhaps a mudslide will do the trick this time.:yay:

It'll take more than a mudslide to make a race at Auto Club Speedway of Southern California interesting.

SoCal is the most boring track on the schedule. I hardly pay attention to the Southern California races.

Don't know why they haven't reconfigured the track yet. Did wonders when they reconfigured Homestead Miami Motorsports Complex - turned it from a boring track to one of the most exciting tracks on the circuit.

Smooth riding track?

Not a lot of bang-bang action?
