This weekend, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series rolls into the Bruton Smith owned Texas Motor Speedway for the first of their two events in the Lone Star State, the Samsung 500. Last fall, Jimmie Johnson scored a critical victory, which set him up to make the charge for the Championship.
The entry list looks a little different this weekend, here it goes. First thing you'll notice is that Kyle Petty has stepped out of the 45 car, for now, and has handed over the wheel to rookie driver Chad McCumbee.
Here are the point standings after 6 out of 26 races. You'll notice Harvick29 still has first place firmly in his grip without the aid of a 25 point bonus for winning. Clevalley and Gumbo took a dive down to visit nachomama (thanks for scoring this week ) in the Nacho Zone.
