Michael McDowell in qualifying, wow! SO GLAD to see him walk away from that.

He went into turn 1 and it just snapped right. He slammed into the outside wall, and went over barrell rolling some 10-20 feet in the air 10 or 12 times. Remarkably, he not only survived, but got out of the car on his own power. Man, I'm sure he's thanking god right now for the COT, HANS and SAFER. I'm going to refrain from saying soft wall because I'm sure Michael McDowell disagrees with me and won't call that turn 1 SAFER barrier a soft wall.

WOW. Another goes to NASCAR for mandating all the safety equipment for all the tracks and drivers.

Well, after 40 minutes of Pre-Race , we're about to go racing. I wish we could have old school ESPN back. No more than 10 minutes of pre-race coverage, the station provides the complete starting grid, track conditions, race summary and then racing.

The new FOX coverage with the chitty music is . I wish they would get rid of Chris Myers and have Steve Byrnes do the pre-race.
