17.
I did it twice a month from 78 to 91
17 was almost always faster.
there were times when you could go 30 or so mile and not see another car.
Is it faster to get to Virginia Beach from somd by going down 95 or turning left at Horne's and going that route??
TIA
yeah but back then there were only about 5 cars on the road.
Going through grafton etc on 17 is a pain in the azz.
I go 301to

I have been doing it 2-3 times a month for 8 years (got an '04 with 80K because of it!). The real answer is, it depends. Time of day, day of the week, time of the year. I never use 95 in the summer. Too much traffic. I also try to get to the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel before 2PM or after 7PM as it is almost always backed up. 17 is shorter by ~18 miles, faster in the summer. They have also raised the speed limit between Port Royal (Horne's) and Gloucester County line to 60 in most areas. 64MPH is safe.
I've been either on the back of a bike or in my car since Thrustday. Got myself a nice alcohol induced tail pipe burn on my calf before I even left town
I opted for Route 17 becuase I hate driving so fast I can't see the road signs and dodging retards and schrapnel(sic) on the highway. I made it to the opera house with ten minutes to spare to change my clothes in the back of my car and brush out my hair. It was a lovely ballet
Drove through the smokey haze and dust clouds through North Carolina got back to the beach looking like a raccoon
My buttock are literally bruised from the narrow seat and I have a farmer's tan. At least now I have more riding time in this year than my 11 year old does now
Stop in Youngstown and see if my OTL's bebe-mama blew his sportster up yet
She is
wana stop for a cold one
