You sure you're prego? 130 at 5'5" is almost a stick figure. :lmao:

At any rate, the only "maternity" bathing suits I've seen so far that were decent were a black on at Target and a blue one in the Mall.

Speaking of which, anyone know of a good place to buy maternity clothes? We've tried Motherhood, Target and Walmart already. The biggest problems that we're running into are A) she doesn't like anything, B) she's 5'10" and not a stick, and C) the neckline on the shirts tends to be cut way too low and they all seem to be missing sleeves- not that I mind either, but her work doesn't approve.
:whoosh:

She had the baby six weeks ago! She's not looking for a maternity bathing suit - she wants a bathing suit that will flatter her post-baby body.

I didn't do the "mystic" tan. I did an airbrush type tan where a girl actually airbrushes you. It's a lot more natural and you don't get it on your hands or feet, no streaking, etc. Beach Club Tanning in Lusby, it's only $25 and well worth it.

Michelle is great! :yay:

Read the post or learn the english language. Either way, "6 weeks out from" translates to "6 weeks from X event/date" and she doesn't specify which way the 6 weeks goes- and usually its meant as "6 weeks from now."

Of course, you could bring up that she can't be pregnant if her weight is correct, but, no offense to her, I don't know too many women that are honest about their weight- which makes that statement trivial and useless in my evaluation of her post. So... about that landing behind me...

I just use the Jergen's Natural Glow lotion. In less than a week, I have a nice tan.

I went to a tanning salon for 2 months my mom used that lotion 2 weeks and she was totally darker then me......

Alot of women I know are honest about the weight. 130LBS for someone that is 5'5 sounds like she is being honest and she is in a normal weight range.

To the new mom* Good luck

How often do you have to apply the Jergen's to keep your tan. I am going to Ocean City in about 2-1/2 weeks and need a little color before. I love the sun but it does bad things to my skin as I've gotten older.

That's the way I understood it, too - she just had a baby six weeks ago. She said she's not fat (5'5" and 130) but is "soft". Sounds like your basic post-partum body to me.

Yes I'm being honest. I had bought a few pants in size 6 as I was getting bigger so I'm wearing those so I know I'm not big, I'm just soft. I'm at the gym 5 days a week doing a moderate workout. I know it will take time to lose the last 10 pounds but it will eventually come off.

Thank you everyone for the advice. My sister and I are shopping for bathing suits tonight and I'm making an appointment for us to get the airbrush tan.

Weight is just a number anyway and people carry it differently. I weigh nothing and I mean really next to nothing. When I tell people my height/weight if they don't know me their immidiate impression is that I'm grossly malnourished which I'm not at all; matter of fact I have "softer" spots. B made comment that I've finally grown a butt. I'm lean but very normal sized. My weight, very low. I must have light bones or something??? On the other hand you can have someone that looks exactly the same that weighs 20 pounds more which would be considered heavy in terms of weight. Maybe their bones are more dense, more muscle maybe? I just don't think weight/height ratio are a good gauge.

I was merely commenting that I thought she was 6 weeks post-partum, not six weeks from having her baby.

That's all. :flowers:
