In My Opinion
Tugboater is my husband..

Yes both people in the car are family member's of ours. The one that passed is/was one of the nicest people that you could know. She loved her great-grand childern so much and her grandchildern. She is going to be sorely missed by all of us. At the family functions she would make me crack up with some of the comments that would come out of her mouth.

RIP - You will be missed.

I haven't heard on the other family member yet on the status. I just know she was flown up to the hospital. Waiting for some sort of feedback.
My prayers and thoughts are for you and your family.
This is one of those things that most will hopefully never have to go through and never have to fully understand.

There has been a number of serious accidents in this exact same area over the last few years, and just a couple of weeks ago. It's a horrible area for accidents!

I'm really sorry your family is having to deal with such a tragedy. I hope her daughter pulls through. Keeping your family in my thoughts.

I am sorry to say that I think the problem is that the senior population is increasing so rapidly and is thus causing many of the hazards on the roads. There should be a law that after a certain age everyone should have to pass their driver's test again. Plain and simple, seniors tend to mis-judge distances, they have difficulty reading signs, and they often don't have all their faculties, making them an accident waiting to happen. On 301 in Upper Marlboro recently one almost came to a complete stop in the right hand lane with traffic behind her because she was confused about whether she was supposed to take the exit.

I disagree this could have happened to anyone regardless of age and has.

Well this accident the driver was/is only 58 years old. That is not senior citzen status.

I never said one of the drivers was a senior citizen nor that did I say which driver in the crash was at fault. Someone commented on car wrecks and I claimed that a disproportionate number of them are caused by senior citizens. 16 and 17 year olds also cause a disproportionate number of wrecks, and I think they should not drive at all until they are 18.
