I don't wish ill on anyone, and sorry for her and her family, but maybe now with her out of the way things won't get more screwed up.

and how will this affect the budget talks/govt shutdown votes....
Well, there can't be a shutdown until after the funeral and procession with every military, Federal and state worker involved in some fashion. No expense is beyond reproach.

Senator Feinstein Death Not Expected To Affect Re-election Campaign

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Senator Dianne Feinstein has passed away at 90 years old. In the wake of the tragic news, her estate confirmed to reporters that her death will in no way affect her re-election campaign.

"Make no mistake, Senator Feinstein will continue to serve in the Senate and will be proudly running for another term next year," said Tad Binkelstein, a spokesman for her upcoming campaign. "We need to move past this old idea that one's death should preclude one from serving their country."

DAMN. I was going to write something to that effect - why should DEATH have any effect on her being in the Senate?

I hear Chuck is gonna have her stuffed, wired and set in her seat for the rest of the session, with a button at his desk to trigger her votes.
He is already trying to have her votes count until replaced. It is insane.
Dianne Feinstein voted yesterday. She was marked as a "yes" vote on the Securing Growth and Robust Leadership in American Aviation Act.

Yeah, I doubt it. They will probably pick one of the "leaders" of BLM as the replacement, or the chair of the San Francisco reparations commitee.
