Dayum it!!!! I was so hoping that she made it. They found her dog 50 miles away in a store parking lot. This lady apparently had martial arts training and still ended up dead..................

So sad......The man in custody is also being looked at for hikers in N.C. that also were killed.

That's exactly why I ALWAYS pack heat when I'm hiking. I don't care if it's illegal or not. I'm not getting jumped on some trail and sitting by while my wife gets raped and then we both get murdered. I've never had any problem whatsoever yet, but it's such an easy preventative measure. There are just way too many crazy people in the world these days.
