So what do you suggest she do, take it back to where she found it and wait till it's 8 weeks old?

NO I was just saying they aren't really supposed to be given up til 8 weeks of age. NO way I am an animal lover I would never want an animal to be left out in the cold or any of that or suffering because its a baby and has nobody to care for it.

This is a different situation, she is not taking the animal away from its mother which is what the law is about. The pup is already away from its mother.

OK now I understand. I didn't know if the mother was in the picture because they said they found her next to her dead brother didn't know mom was gone too. MY BAD sorry all. I was a little confused.
