This is a big problem with farriers in our area - they are a dime a dozen and just like hair dressers you are only their customer as long as you are in front of them. There is always someone else wanting them right behind you. There are a few good ones and a few bad ones - everyone has bad days also. Some farriers do this for a living and some do it just for pocket change. Some rush to keep their appointments and sometimes you run into issues at certain customers that you were unaware of until you get to your horse - as many of us know - oops sorry I didnt know my mare had an absess - they were fine this morning when I fed them- LOL - Or oops what my horse is going to need 4 shoes not the usual 2 on front because its throwing her hips off - So we cant always blame the farrier - Just a little advice from a horsie friend.
