Secondly, my mother worked for Ralston Purina for over 30 years making dog and cat food, dry pet food (the largest market) is almost all grain with beef fat/fish flavoring sprayed over it for taste. Most of it shares a basic recipe, everytime they add an ingredient or delete one to that basic recipe they can market it as an entirely new product.
