Chuck and B23--willifully spreading lies is grave matter. so, in the interest of the truth lets do this.

Take Chucks little 2 page hit piece on the Catholic Church. Give me the paragraph number from the Catechism of the Catholic Church that supports the items below. Remember, our Catechism is our statement of faith--we don't hide behind anything. No posting from a "Catholic" website or a Protestant site. Just the paragraph number please--should be easy for you unless you are spreading lies.

-Catholics think Mary is......, which they say is the epitome of the whole gospel.
-Catholics think if they die wearing the brown scapular they will not suffer the fires of hell
-Many Catholics are just hoping to enter Purgatory...
-Catholics must bow or kiss images...

Remember we can't judge a denomination on what some of their adherents say/believe/do. What does the RCC actually teach?

They do not even even know our Catechism exists. The only thing they know about the Catholic Church is what their strip mall preachers tell them.

That is all you can find discrepancies on? It must be a pretty good paper. Hmm.

Nope--all of the other things are just wrong interpretations...

Instead of calling people liars, maybe you should choose your words more carefully. You have liberal priests running around and doing things unauthorized by the Church. Then your game plan is to call us liars because it isn't authorized by the Vatican documents. Get a grip on your own people first. We didn't lie. In order to be called a liar, you have to prove that we knowingly lied.

You betcha there are bad priests. I call them out too. You're no better--except that you tell us every day that you've got it all figured out and you are living right. Except when you willfully spread kaka about my church.

A famous Catholic saint once said the road to hell is paved with bishops

Yesterday I asked you a serious question--in your vast self-proclaimed university library why don't you have some Aquinas, Augustine, de Sales, etc?

Why are you not divulging your Church's website? Every time i ask you blow me off or tell me to search...Why don't youngest post it--stop hiding it?

little onel, we've gone over this. I have given you the website in the past, you checked it out and said you would get back to me on our communion. Sorry you cannot remember - work on that will ya?

BTW, I just love the way you try and divert attention away from your original rant, blindly supported by your birddog. Stick to your topic, please, and put the Bible where your catechisms are.

But just to make you happy, and maybe unwad your panties from your self-induced atomic wedgie:

Enjoy what scripture believing believe, and why we are so confident in the Lord.

Not trying to divert anything liar. Why won't you put your money where your lying mouth is? You lack of willingness to provide the proof is getting noticed--even by your own side

Dear Lord where do I begin?!?! I'll delve into this in a separate thread tonight. But some highlights from your place's practices...

-so why not just call your joint St. Paul's? Dozens of references to his letters but curiously not one single reference to any of the four gospels for your practices...

-reference to Protestant authors (extra-biblical) "as so and so says in their book..."

-war on women!

-intellectually dishonest references to Corinthians instead of John 6 when referring to your "communion"--especially the use of as commanded by Christ when Christ CLEARLY lays out his commandments regarding communion...yeah we know why...

-everyone is their own priest?

-no difference between clergy and laity?

-so there's no pastor?

Are you saying that you have an issue with the meaning of 'Amen' at the end of the Lord's Prayer?

Never mind. I just realized that you were just pointing out that there are 2865 articles (for a better word) in the RC catechism. I was thinking you were calling out a specific article that you don't believe in for discussion.

So which one of the 50+ Evangelical churches in Pasco County are preaching the "Real word"???????
It would take over a year to go to one Sunday service at each......and we are talking about one county in one state.

You all are a bunch of Bible thumping phonies.......strip malls, Rolexes and Mercedes.....

You're worried about some health and wealth teacher with a rolex and mercedes?

It is kind of harder for me to figure out what the Catholic Church owns:

Another titbit to emerge is that it keeps gold reserves worth over $20m with the US Federal Reserve.

According to Georgetown University, the average weekly donation of an American Catholic to the church is $10. There are 85 million in North America, meaning each week the Catholic Church pulls in $850m through donations from individual Catholics.

Vatican City itself has a rich economy relative to its size. Though data is scarce, and the exact GDP figure is unknown, the CIA estimates Vatican City's 2011 revenue to be $308m. It only has a population of 800 people, meaning its nominal GDP per capita is $365,796 – making it the richest state on the planet by this measure.

Maybe you ought to question your own Church's finances?

So if the Vatican has a GDP of $365,796 per person. How much is it worth if the person lives to be 70??

$25,605,720 per person if they live to be 70 years old.
$21,560 million for Vatican City in 70 years.

Talk about touching the mote in someone's eye when your church has a plank in their own eye.

The average person is giving ten dollars who can least afford it when the residents of Vatican City are possessing millions.

According to the next article, the Vatican bank has $7.9 billion in assets and 17,419 customers:

A number of official Italian inquiries into money-laundering operations by organized crime or by corrupt politicians and businessmen have led to the doors of the Vatican Bank. The bank itself is not huge: It has just $7.9 billion in assets and 17,419 customers. Only the Holy See and religious entities, charities, members of the clergy and employees are supposed to hold accounts there. What made it appealing to those who prefer to operate in the shadows were its location — there are no border controls between the Vatican and Italy, allowing cash to flow virtually unchecked — and an opaque money transfer system.

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/10/19/business/of-virtue-and-vice-and-a-vatican-priest.html

According to my figures, $7.9 billion divided by 17,419 customers equals 453,527.757047
Mind boggling to say the least.

So why is this money laundering priest worth 8.2 million when he officially makes $41,000 a year?
