Many people here praise the idea of the liberals running north, I don’t... I don’t praise the idea of putting anyone with a different idea in a different place. Some of it is some isn’t... And vrai: I do agree to some extent, no one should run away from the problems, especially in a fine country like this one, where you can change the problems in civil ways.

As many of you were half way sarcastic with your comments mine was also halfway sarcastic... Sorry I didn’t reply instantly, late night last night and then the electrician woke me up early this morning so I was getting a bit of sleep before my next class...

I wasn't sarcastic...

Watson, it's really elementary

I and many conservatives qualify for Mensa based on our IQs. What's your point?

Um, dur. Obviously this guy needs to do some research on what, exactly, "survival of the fittest" means.

But I do love how you couldn't come up with anything after I pointed out the obvious, so you broke into song.

Yes, I see. To some people torture and having their daughters raped in front of their faces is "unbearable". To others, it is "unbearable" when the guy you voted for for President doesn't win.

I think I understand now.

The cut off is the 98th percentile..

There are a few ways you can qualify, but it has to be an accepted test that ranks you in a percentile of the nation. There has to be enough people to take the test to get a reliable percentile.. one reason the ASVAB is an accepted test, at least the year I took it, it qualified, I don't know if it still does.

Membership in Mensa is open to persons who have attained a score within the upper two percent of the general population on an approved intelligence test that has been properly administered and supervised. There is no other qualification or disqualification for membership eligibility.

The term "IQ score" is widely used but poorly defined. There are a large number of tests with different scales. The result on one test of 132 can be the same as a score 148 on another test. Some intelligence tests don't use IQ scores at all. Mensa has set a percentile as cutoff to avoid this confusion. Candidates for membership in Mensa must achieve a score at or above the 98th percentile (a score that is greater than or equal to 98 percent of the general population taking the test) on a standard test of intelligence.

I like the way you think Vrai - I like the way you think. Keep those great ideas coming! :yay:

So doing it politically, or making it so unbearable for them isn’t?

I hate to bust on you too much because I truly appreciate you hanging around here.

But just think about that comment. Made it un-bearable?

Give us a little summary about how the day to day life of someone who feels compelled to run off to Canada has been changed with the election and re-election of W to the point of being...un-bearable.

There is another side of this discussion that's not being very vocal - the Canadians. I wonder what they're thinking about having our wretched Liberal masses headed their way...

"You can keep your tired your poor,
Your huddled Liberals yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your Western shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to Mexico,
I'm turning off the Welcome light beside the golden door!"

From the Mensa web site: "The society welcomes people from every walk of life whose IQ is in the top 2% of the population"

That equates to about an IQ of 132, so you would qualify.
