If I may ...

That theater was the dollar theater. $1 to watch a movie. Second-run movies. Though the concessions were anything but a dollar. Did well for a while.

The original dollar theater was in the same shopping center as Bed Bath and Beyond. There use to be an actual pet store too (bought a Guinea pig there). The movies at Smallwood was a normal movie theater until the very end when it made a last ditch attempt with $1 showings.

I also remember (and attended) movies at an actual drive in which was over where the Festival shopping center now stands. Before it was all redone, there was a People's Drug Store (with an actual soda/ice cream bar). I saw Fantasia (I think it was) - or whatever that Disney movie was where Mickey is a wizard - at that drive in.

Not sure about living with relatives as much as using the address or any address that works. Awhile back, there was some commotion about that topic in the Charles County schools, seems to have died out rather quickly though. Same, same when the fed found out many of their higher paid employees had bogus degrees. When they correlated skin color to probable outcome.....

Oh I'm sure some are giving fraudulent addresses but from what I have heard (sources) they stay with family (extended).
The thought being, they are getting the kid out of a bad situation. Problem is, as we have seen in several incidents at GHS, the bad situation finds out where they are and comes a calling.
Most likely they find out where they are via stupid use of social media.

Nobody is going to complain because the number counters in Baltimore (Board of Ed) have them by the purse strings.
