I just saw a clip from the new Kirk Cameron movie, Fireproof, and wow :yikes:

It was a scene of firefighters moving a car wreck with injured people off a train track as a train is coming and as soon as they lifted it out of the way the train passed so close to one fireman that it knocked his helmet off.

Wow!

I really want to see this:yay:

Do you know what this movie is about, by any chance!

I personally have been waiting for a long time for this movie to come out. Hubby and I are going to see it next weekend. There is a book that does goes with this movie. Well it is the book the father gave Caleb in the movie. It is called the love dare book. I urge any marry couple to see this movie!

Just a little fact about the movie.

No one got paid to do this movie! Well many of these ppl were volunteers and those that were paid like Kirk donated all his earnings to his charity. The Sherwood production who is responsible for this move is taking proceeds from the movie to build Sherwood's 82-acre public sports park in Albany GA-with walking trails, a fishing pond, horse stables and riding trails, tennis courts, baseball fields, and soccer fields. And they plan to do so much more for the community of Albany GA.
These are the same ppl who did Facing the giants. Which I haven't seen yet!

I saw him on the Today Show the other day. To stay faithful to his commitment to his wife she stood in as his wife in the movie during the kissing scene. It's in silhouette apparently. I think that is great!

I heard that as well. And thought how awesome of him to do that!

I actually caught the cip while surfing the channels and stopping on Dr. Phil. He was working with a couple who's marraige had taken the exact same turns the one in the movie had. The husband was a cop and he was really struck by the similarity.

I think it's gonna be a good watch.:yay:

I am going to see this over the weekend! When i saw the clip for it last week, i thought, OH MY ...they made a movie about my ex hubby and i!! Could totally relate at first...he being the firefighter, we were married 7 yrs when things started to unravel!... looks to be an absolutely incredible story... ours didnt end quite the way i think this one ends, but WOW!! what a movie and an inspiration for anyone married... My first thought was, MAN, too bad none of his buddies gave him this same advice.... but, everything happens for a reason... I think this movie is good for those considering marriage, happily married, or on the brink of divorce!!

You will have to look hard to find it playing.....I believe it is playing in Annapolis.
I wanted to see it this weekend as well, but was unable to get to Annapolis to see it.
I guess I will wait until I can buy it and then have a couples movie night at my home.
I wish more places would show it.....

This was the most amazing movie i have ever seen!!! the storyline was well written and played out... the firehouse setting was exactly what goes on in the firehouse - could totally relate to every bit of it. very tearful here and there... but what an amazing way to turn around a relationship. I suggest anyone considering marriage, already married, and those on the edge of the fence of divorce to watch this movie... incredible! Very biblically correct -- i can certainly see why churches are endorsing this movie... in fact, there was a gentleman in the theater foyer on my way out - who also had watched the movie and was so moved by it, was seeking his Salvation... there was another gentleman standing there with him - discussing his salvation and how the Lord can do might things in the lives of those who call upon him. WOW is all i could think as i left the movie in annapolis. almost had to ask myself, am i really in a movie theater in annapolis?? i was amazed!

My sister and I had that song played as everyone was leaving the funeral home when my sister died. We really thought hard about having anything played but we really felt it in our hearts to play that song. It is a truly beautiful song.

Youtube has tons of clips on this movie posted out there already. One of the most powerful clips is 'The Cross'

It wasn't until this movie that I realized what a truly incredible actor Kirk Cameron really is...

I don't know if you saw 'Facing the Giants' but they have a goofy clip showing Kirk crawling on his hands and knees and the coach is yelling 21 days, come-on, you can do 22 days. Very funny clips. I loved 'Facing the Giants' love it!!! Incredible movie. All these movies are must own. :yay:

I have it on my myspace. It makes me think of Claudia. When it was on AI I was so surprised. My sister sent me a text that said "Mercy Me!". I loved this on AI too. Makes you wonder about the producer since they feature christian singers and songs. :yay:
