Fires everywhere Scanner going crazy

Fire pager going crazy, the winds are kicking up fire everywhere, working trailer fire right now on Lincoln Ave guess thats Lexington Park, hugh brush fire King George County calling all kinds of units from Charles, and another big brush fire somewhere in Accokeek area.

Heard a few calls for trees down on lines too. I hope it dosen't stay windy like this all night.

National Weather Service issued a RED FLAG WARNING for the potenial for fires from 11am this morning till 10pm this evening, because of the winds and low humidity, fire danger is very high.
All three SoMd. counties are included in this warning.


Looks like Smokey the Bear is going to be busy today.

King George is really on fire, Charles County just issued a General alarm for all station in Charles to respond to the fire in King George.

Lincoln is in Lexington Park somewhere now calling in Solomons on that fire came out as trailer but now there is large brush fire.

Dont know what might happen if Charles gets a big brush fire now, all there brush units are either in King George or PG County.

The SMECO outage map shows 1200+ without power mostly in Charles but St. Marys and PG in there too. Only 3 outages in Calvert as of now.:howdy:

Is up to 4000+ now with 83 in St. Mary's. Hope the # stays like this.

They are still fighting the brush fire in Lex. Pk. Hope that fizzles out soon.

I travel Rt. 249 everyday, parents live on it, actually that is the area I grew up in.

I've listened to the scanner off and on today but can't understand anything they are saying. Is it something you get used to?

Sad to hear about all these fires. I hope everyone is okay.

Now theres a huge brush fire Westmoreland County all the Charles units from just about every station in Charles are now responding to the Westmoreland fire, they just told one unit from Charles who didnot where he was going to head toward Colonial Beach in the the area of Flat Iron rd, and he would not have any trouble seeing it. They are still fighting the first big brush fire in King George that one is in or near Presidentail Estates.
