Fires everywhere Scanner going crazy

I've listened to the scanner off and on today but can't understand anything they are saying. Is it something you get used to?

Sad to hear about all these fires. I hope everyone is okay.

Yes you can get use to it, but helps if you have some knowledge of the fire depts and their station numbers. Then you can kind of figure out what area a incident is in.

Now besides brush fires King George has several chimey fires going on also.

I didn't think of it till right now, but yesterday's weather sure was a lot like the day that Bowens and the Lighthouse burned in Solomons.
