Fireworks

Since forever we have celebrated Independence Day with fireworks. Now all of a sudden people are whining about their dog or their combat veteran or somesuch who simply cannot tolerate living in a society that sets off fireworks.

:drama:

People, seriously. STFU. My dog didn't like fireworks either, but I didn't feel compelled to make him everyone else's problem. What's next, ban thunderstorms?

I get tired of people who are so entitled they think everyone in the universe has to accommodate their personal problems.

Sneakers

Just sneakin' around....
Damn, I hope not! :yikes:

I use them nightly to help me sleep and the dog seems to like them too.

:sshrug:
I've found a series on Tubi that I use when I can't drift off. :yay:

Pets pick up on their owner's feeling and insecurities. If a person starts whinging and making sour faces when there is a disturbance, the pet will start doing it too. There seems to be more and more entitles, Karens, etc... people out there, so there have to be more and more pets that are affected.

There's always been pets afraid of the fireworks, but you learn to deal with it. My dog chewed thru a window and escaped one 4th when we weren't home, but I still love fireworks and displays.

Is there anything in existence in this world that doesn't offend some poor Karen?
Many times I am offended by their being offended ,but nobody seems to care about my being offended so I don't care about their being offended.

OK ,, There is my cackles word salad for today.

We had someone in the neighborhood light off hundreds of firecrackers yesterday evening when Ruby and I were outside on the front porch.

She didn’t so much is twitch when they went off. Just looked up in the general direction and quickly lay her head down again.

Gretel was a champ. The first local crackers started going off and she was more investigative than scared, and during the light show she seemed to enjoy it. She'd wag her tail and arf at them.

Nikki, our 1st dog, didn't mind fireworks so much, but, she hated thunderstorms. Morgan, our 2nd dog was petrified of fireworks and thunderstorms. She would go into the bathroom and shut the door, I would open the door and try to talk her into coming out, but nope, she stayed in there until it was over.

The big dog tried to burrow under me, the smaller one just sat over me and drooled.
