First gun

I'd suggest the gun that most every one starts with, a .22 rifle.

That's what I was going to suggest. Gotta love a Ruger 10/22. Or for a pistol, something like a Ruger Mark III.

The guns are cheap, the ammo is cheap, and the recoil is non-existant, so you can work on safety and your technique first.

My hubby thought it would be "cute" to get me a pink gun, it's actually metallic pink, but really? Is anyone going to look at the color if you're shooting them?

I think in Florida it's a pre-rec to have a CCW.
