First Tree Down

So how do we dispose of trees that have fallen? Does the county have a cleanup day?

If you do have to use a tree service, make sure you ask for proof of insurance and get a everything in writing. There are plenty of people in here who can offer their opinion on services they have used. Two guys and a chainsaw does not a tree service make. Good luck!

Trees down everywhere darling. Cops trapped on dead end roads, Ridge VFD had a boat lift operation going on. Who needs a TV when you have a scanner and this bunch of crazies?

Winter is coming. With fuel prices the way they are, you should be able to get rid of it by letting folks come to get it for firewood. As long as the trees are on the ground, insurance is a non-issue...almost. But I've gotten my firewood about this same time every year, the same way. Just wait for someone to post about a tree down, and go get it.

I've got more firewood than I could burn in 2 years now though I think, and that doesn't include the 4 trees that came down in my yard today.

Well... the electric's back on. I lost internet when the electric went out so I used my computer to watch some of "Shaggy Dog" on the battery I had left.

My yard is a wreck. It's going to be a chore cleaning up all these limbs, leaves, and oh yeah, the tree.

I'm going to venture out into the community in a few minutes....

I had three trees fall, all were within 6 feet of my shed and they all went different directions, didnt hit a thing but the ground. The neighbor across the street had one tree fall right onto the center of their house.

I have lots of cleanup to do but thankfully nothing appears damaged.
