I hated them for the same reason I hated a lot of artists; 20 songs on an album, a handful of which I was interested in.

I always wanted them to do "K-Tel! 20 songs that DON'T suck!"

I had the record selector, and it would keep flipping the albums like that, but after the last album the thing flipped forward and fell off the table every time.

I named it the "20 album pick-up" game.

10+ years ago, long before digital download was legal, K-Tel offered a custom CD where you could choose 10 or so songs from a huge list and they'd burn it for you. I had one made for my Mom for Mother's Day.

That seems so cute now. :lol:
